A few years later they found themselves winning the British Ladies Barbershop Quartet Championships, whilst still having fun of course! Since then they have had ‘serious’ fun and have represented the best of barbershop singing at various events and competitions throughout the UK, Ireland, Holland and USA. Linda is the Chorus Director of the Great Western Chorus who are based in Bristol and who are the most successful chorus in the history of the British Association of Barbershop Singers (BABS). They compete regularly in local, national and international music festivals and have won the BABS Championship a record nine times (most recently in May of this year) and has never been placed outside of the top five nationally! The chorus has represented the UK in the World Chorus Championships, in Anaheim and Kansas City. Havoc is delighted to be singing for you and if you would like to take the quartet home with you…well you can…they have a CD for sale and would be very happy to exchange one for money!

We are now joined by the lively young fiddler from the popular ceilidh band Dyer:Cummings – Hannah Cumming – who brings her flair and energy to enliven our playin Players’ ages range from 7 to 14, and the standard ranges from beginner to about Grade 5. Parents often play along too as you will see this evening. They meet monthly to practise at North Curry Village Hall near Taunton, Somerset, from 5.30pm to 7pm on second Sundays.
