Eleven men joined the Rivertones at the Oakwood Church Centre in Taunton on Saturday, 24 March for a FREE one-day Learn To Sing In Harmony Workshop.<\/p>\n
Each of the course attendees were given a teach track CD and sheet Music for that well known popular song ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’. They were encouraged to select an appropriate voice part – Lead (the melody), Bass, Baritone or Tenor – and try to replicate some of the song prior to attending the full day course.<\/p>\n
The Workshop allowed everyone to split up into ‘breakout’ rooms for each voice part, where the Rivertones helped each course attendee to perform the song in four-part harmony to a more polished state.<\/p>\n
In addition to learning the chosen song for the Workshop, during the day everyone learnt short song ‘tags’ to help with their understanding of harmonic chords.<\/p>\n
The Rivertones, under chorus director Peter Gover, also performed two of their more popular songs for their guests – ‘Love Me’ and ‘Take Me Home Country Roads’.<\/p>\n
Chairman Allen Day presented the attendees with framed certificates of their successful completion of the Workshop.<\/p>\n
